1. The Founder of Yifang Foundation was Invited as a Member of BCF/NFTE Advisory Board

In 2003 BCF established a partnership with the National Foundation for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE) USA, becoming the NFTE’s sole authorized partner in China. BCF/NFTE founded an advisory board in 2013, with an aim to help BCF be more accessible to resources for strategic development, professional services, fundraising and volunteer involvement, which guarantees BCF’s leading impact and effectiveness in entrepreneurship education, and builds a professional, effective, and integrated philanthropic service platform to help more people in their development.

The founder of Yifang Foundation, Dr. Eric Xu, was invited to join this board and promote the NFTE’s entrepreneurship education in China together with BCF. The two foundations established strategic partnership at senior level, and have been exploring further opportunities for cooperation.

2. “SROI Assessment” Investigation Program

Social Return on Investment or SROI, is a methodology to measure social value. It is used to measure the social, environmental and economic value created by philanthropic actions and their performer. Using SROI system, BCF will produce a report based on their entrepreneurship educational project in Jiangsu province with the assistance of external experts. Meanwhile, focusing on practice of case studies and the application of the SROI’s system on the plan and assessment of individual projects, BCF will develop a SROI toolkit which will be suitable for NPOs, organizations and project assessments. This investigation will bring BCF an in-depth understanding of the theory and process of SROI system, and figure out SROI’s feasibility in China and its positive impact on capacity building for NPOs; and help them decide if they can achieve their strategic plan with this system.

Yifang Foundation is the sole sponsor of this investigation program.
